Beautiful work, man.  And an instant ticket to top ten magic on TWC.  I have voting incentive envy.

For TWC?  It's easy.  You do it through your comic settings, and through 'promotions.'  Buy the 300,000 pageview options.  They're the best deal.  TWC ads are a super-amazing deal, which is why you always see my ads up there.  You get great returns on your money.  A few years ago, there was such a backlog of ads that it took half a year for purchased ads to go live, but now... I don't know why, but there's not as much demand for adspace, so if you buy space, your ads will go up in no time.

If you've already got a PW account, it's super easy.  Once you get your ads uploaded, I can give you some advice on how to run a cheap yet effective campaign.  PW is, hands down, the best deal going for comic types and ads.  It costs money, but not that much money, and with a campaign, you get total control over how much you spend per day.  I'm happy to give you more info if you want, when you're ready.

Well, i've had an account there since 2011 or so XD So i guess i'm more than ready! :D Hints would be good, but i must push myself to actually sit down and get the hold on how it works and actually make some effective ads >o> What do you think would work best? The mysterious, single picture + logo ad? The " invented quotes that look like someone important said them" ad? What has worked for you on the past? =O and how do you even measure how effective your ads are? you mentioned something about "great returns on your money", how can you measure that :C that's like black magic to me!

Okay, quick tutorial.

The main terms in the online ad world are CPC (cost per click) and the CTR (click-through rate).  As an advertiser, you want to keep your CPC low (around two or three cents per click) and your CTR high. (Really successful ads can achieve a .5% or even a 1% CTR rate.)  You can track all of this in PW both for your ads AND for specific sites that you're bidding on.

Really, though, if you're thinking about what your ads should look like, it's simple: go for a single still image (no flashing GIF or anything like that), and make that image be something visually spectacular - like your recent voting incentive.  If said spectacular visual has an insanely hot girl in there, that doesn't hurt (especially for ads running on TWC).  Face it: your comic is gorgeous.  Pictures from the comic sell themselves.  It's way harder for a less attractive comic to reel in readers.  Your ads are going to be amazing performers, I can tell you that right now.
